Install HP Drivers to Maintain Optimal Printing Performance

One of the leading products of computers and other types of devices is HP, which also is one of the leaders in the industry when it comes to product support because of the vast availability of downloadable product updates and patches.

Updating Old Drivers

One of the issues that you can experience with HP products is outdated or corrupt drivers, which can occur if the item has been in use for a long time. It’s important that you make sure that this is indeed the issue before you proceed with any possible courses of action. Performing an analysis with the device manager will help you confirm this. You might also be able to confirm this by looking at the Printers and Faxes menu in your control panel.

Where Can You Get New Drivers For Your HP Product?

That’s simple, you can simply visit the website where you will get the new drivers for your HP products, which will be located at www.hp.com. Immediately when you open the link you will notice a “Support and Downloads” URL near the top of the site.

Click on this link and you will be directed to a page with two menus label Step 1 and Step 2. You will want to click on Step 1 first to perform driver downloads.

The menu below can be used to enter search criteria for your request, either product name, number, or any other criteria that you feel will help you find your driver. You may also pick a product category in the drop down if you do not wish to enter search criteria.

When you’ve located the product you are looking for, you can click on the link associated with that product in order to get the individual page for that item. Finding the driver that you require might take some navigation either by searching or selecting from drop down menus, buy eventually you will be able to locate the driver or other type of product that you are looking for.

You will eventually be directed to the destination page of the item you are searching for. Here you will find relevant material for that item including technical specs, and any instructions that are needed to reconfigure your hardware.

You will be guided through the installation process with a wizard, which will take you step by step through the process. Be sure to select “Traditional” when you are prompted to select a set up type. This will run the default installation process on your PC. You may choose “Custom” if you wish to alter the steps that occur during the setup process.

Once the installation is complete, simply restart your PC and attempt to run the devices that you downloaded the new drivers for to make sure that they still work.
