Install the Video Drivers You Need From ATI

Did you know that ATI is one of the leading producers of graphics and video cards around? The truth is they are one of the top competitors in this type of industry today.

Graphics Can Be Affected By Driver Problems

Even though ATI is one of the leading producers when it comes to video and graphics cards, that does not necessarily mean that they haven’t experienced their share of issues along the way. These cards are prone to issues just like any other card in the industry. The good news is that these issues are easily repairable if you have the proper direction and willingness to take the time to work with the issues until they are resolved.

The first step in repairing the issue with the card, or any hardware component for that matter, is to figure what exactly the problem is. If you would like to see if your hardware is functioning properly, use the Device Manager to diagnose it. Here are the steps for doing so:

1. Click Start.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Click System.
4. Click on the tab labeled "Hardware."
5. Click the Device Manager.

Tips For Repairing An ATI Device That Is Not Working Properly

If you happen to notice the yellow exclamation point next to one the device while you are in the Device Manager, that means that the device is currently experiencing issues that need to be addressed. It may also be possible for a question mark to appear next to the device if it is not recognized by your PC.

If you are able to determine that the issue can be resolved simply by installing new drivers, then you can go to the ATI site to get the latest updates needed for your installation. Here is what you need to do to get the latest drivers for your ATI video card:

1. Go to www.ati.com, which you will then be relocated to the corporate site for AMD which is the correct area where you need to be.

2. Click “Support and Drivers”, which is where you will find the links to download the updates that are required.

3. When you get to this page, you have the option to search for the driver(s) that you need by Product or by Content Type. You should see an icon near the “Download Drivers” heading, click it, or you can also click the “Drivers and Downloads” link to get where you need to go.

4. When you get to the destination page, locate your video card, or other hardware component that you are searching for.

5. When you reach the search results page, you should see the list of options that you will choose from for selecting updates. Your selections should already be made with regard to criteria and model, all that you will be responsible for now is to choose your operating system in the list of options.

6. When you have selected all applicable, simply click “Submit” and you will then be presented with the driver options for your system.

7. All that’s left to do is for you to make your selection and download the products that you have selected. When you download the driver(s) that you need, make sure you choose a save location that you will be able to find quickly and easily.

Install the Driver, Restart, and Enjoy Stunning Graphics

When the download is complete, you can enjoy the new drivers and you will be all set. You will no longer experience driver issues with your ATI graphics or video card. Hopefully you remembered where you downloaded the files to so that you can run the installation, otherwise you will have to download them again. You will be prompted to restart your computer in order to finalize any system changes. Once your components will be back up and running properly again.
