Stop PC from Freezing
You have a number of strategies that you can use to prevent your PC from freezing up, and deciding which one to utilize will depend on the actual source of the issue that is causing your computer to freeze up.
One tip to keep in mind is to always make note of when your computer freezes up, or identify the event during which the issue takes place. You’ll also want to keep track of any error messages that occur during the freeze up. System Startup

Virus Pop Ups (Spyware or malware) or Blue Screen Of Death Errors
Spyware or malware programs can be downloaded onto your machine regardless of whether or not you give permission to do so. These programs can generate pop ups that fool you by making you think you have a virus on your machine, and that you need to purchase and download a certain software program in order to remove the virus.
To remove spyware or malware programs and eliminate those nasty pop ups, you can follow these steps:
1. Make sure your PC is equipped with an anti-malware software solution that will prevent the download and installation of malware programs onto your PC.
2. Once you have this software on your machine, it will work in your favor by identifying and eliminating any harmful software that was able to make it’s way onto your machine.
Not all vendors of the anit-malware software can be trusted, and unfortunately some people make the mistake of downloading this type of software from sources that are not trustworthy. This can sometimes result in more problems than what you started with. To prevent this from happening to you, make sure you research the source of the software thoroughly before buying their product.
PC Freeze Up During Start Up or Shut Down, Not Being Able To Open Programs At All
When these types of problems occur, you can most likely expect to find that the cause is issues within your registry. The registry is responsible for the organization and storage of all important data that is on your PC including data regarding software applications, user settings, system configuration, and more.
When issues occur during these events, your registry can be affected and invalid data or missing data issues might be the result. To resolve these types of problems, perform the following:
1. Locate a reputable registry cleaner, download it, and install it.
2. Run a registry scan to identify and eliminate errors that occur within your registry. Don’t forgot to make a backup copy before doing so.
